Our Story
‘Begins with “Mr. Hans”, a proud Danish immigrant, who came to the United States in 1970 determined to achieve the American Dream. A butcher by trade, Mr. Hans brought his knowledge to the US where he became recognized in the meat packing industry as a production efficiency expert. His skill set was utilized by several national food brands throughout the US cementing life-long connections.
In 1990, US governmental regulations for food labels changed. Recognizing the enormous impact this would have on future labeling and packaging, Mr. Hans’ entrepreneurial spirit led him to the next chapter in our story.
In 1993, Mr. Hans purchased a small label manufacturer, in Pasadena, Texas which he named Houston Label. Leveraging his strong connections in the food industry, Mr. Hans was able to capitalize on the new governmental requirements by partnering with nationally recognized brands ushering them into compliance.
Houston Label became known for delivering quality products in record time, with excellent customer service. This created an unrivaled reputation allowing Houston Label to broaden our range from primarily food products to anything that could be labeled.
Sadly, in February of 2022, Mr Hans passed away from a decade long battle with Alzheimer’s. Today, his beloved wife, Lollie and daughter, Nina, work side by side steering Houston Label into the 21st Century….
